The Samsung P260 looks positively retro compared to many recent handsets from this Korean manufacturer, but this device has a clever trick up it sleeve - it supports UMA VOIP access. If you don't know what that means.. well, you can make internet voice calls if you have a suitable UMA gateway attached to your wireless network. Despite the looks, the SGH-P260 is pretty up-to-date in most of its specifications, with a 240x320 pixel display, MP3 player, Bluetooth and microSD expandable memory. As with most of the current crop of Samsung phones, the SGH-P260 is a GSM-only device supporting GPRS and EDGE data. It's also a little heavy for a 2G phone at 119 grams, even when taking into account that P260's WiFi. The SGH-P260 is really only worth considering if you are going to use UMA, else there are plenty of other sliders in Samsung's range that will be better suited. |
