Samsung E950 (SGH-E950) The Samsung E950 is a slim sliding handset with a 3 megapixel camera, 80MB of internal memory and a QVGA (240x320 pixel resolution) TFT display in 262,000 colours. The E950 is just 15.2mm thick. The E950 should not be confused with the similarly named SGH-E590 (we notice that several publications have mixed up the model numbers).

Broadly speaking, the SGH-E950 can be considered to be an upgrade to the Samsung E900.. from this we can assume that the E950 also has microSD expandable memory, tri-band GSM with GPRS and EDGE, Bluetooth, a web browser, email client and multimedia player. The E900 also has a TV output, so there's a good chance that the SGH-E950 will too.

Although at first glance the Samsung E950 looks like many other Samsung sliders, a close inspection of the keypad reveals that it is a touch-sensitive pad with a shortcut key for Yahoo! (the first time we have seen this). From the limited press photography available, it's hard to see how sleek the Samsung E950 is in practice.. certainly its predecessor was a sleek handset, but it didn't really live up to the standard set by the LG Chocolate.

No exact launch date of the Samsung E950 is available at present. Indications are that the handset will cost around €400 / £250 / $450 at launch before tax and subsidy.
