Nokia 6267These three new Nokia handsets are aimed at midrange customers and consist of two 3G devices and a stylish GSM handset aimed at the value-for-money end of the midrange market.
Nokia 6267

The Nokia 6267 is a very conventional looking Nokia clamshell phone, however this particular handset is a 3G device with dual-band 850/2100 MHz UMTS plus quad-band GSM with GPRS and EDGE data. In other words, the Nokia 6267 will work pretty much anywhere in the world, including 3G networks in the US. In effect, this is the clamshell version of the Nokia 6120 Classic.

In terms of specifications, the Nokia 6267 hits the midrange of the market precisely - featuring a 240x320 pixel main panel in 16 million colours, a 2 megapixel camera plus a secondary camera for video calling, stereo Bluetooth, microSD expandable memory (up to 4GB) and external media controls.

As the model number might suggest, this is a Symbian Series 40 device and not a smartphone. Still, that's good enough for the vast majority of customers and indeed the 6267 seems to have been designed to appeal to a wide customer base without adding too many expensive features.

At roughly €240 / £150 / $290 before tax and subsidy, the price is pretty much middle-of-the range too. If you're looking for a 3G Nokia clamshell and you don't want a high-end N-Series device, then the Nokia 6267 is likely to be the type of device you would go for. The Nokia 6267 should be available from Q3 2007.

For such a significant handset in Nokia's range, it is just such a shame that they couldn't find a more memorable model number.
